Surgery!

So I got my pin out today and I got spayed!!!! I am already using my leg no matter what....my foster mom is so excited.

Once my incisions heal we are going to start swimming to buildup more muscle in my leg. Mom says it will be easier on my skinny leg than going on walks.

I love my mom's boyfriend, he lets me cuddle with him on the couch, even though I'm not supposed to be up there. He also lets me sleep in the bed with him.

I love to lay out in the sun on the porch. The other dogs are in the back and won't bother me. I love it up there.

My Leg

So my foster mom got a little worried about my leg because I wasn't using it like I should. So the vet took a few x-rays of my leg and he said it looked good. My bone is almost healed up!!! He thinks that its the end of the pin that is hurting me, so now we do exercises at night before bed. Once my pin is removed he said I should start swimming to build my muscles back up! That sounds like fun but its a little cold!!!

I also have a little puppy named Cricket that I live with now, she is looking for a home too. Our foster mom thinks she looks like my mini me. We play really well together and I have started to use my leg thanks to her!!! So mom is really excited about that!!

Update on Sage

Sage is in her foster home and is doing spectacular!!! She loves the cats, and is healing great!! All of the swelling and bruising has gone down and she is starting to use her little foot sometimes.

Sage is now housebroken as well!! She is so spoiled too, she goes outside to potty and goes straight back to the door and is ready to go back inside where it is warm.

Sage is still looking for a new home...her forever home...if you think that she should be with you please contact us at pitinfo@nanasrescue.org

Sage

Sage was rescued by a good sam, Erin, after she was hit by a car. Her femur was broken in half and she had a few bruised ribs. Sage is a 2-3 year old Brindle Pit Bull.

Sage had surgery on Friday at Hickory Grove Animal Hospital and is recovering well. She slept most of the afternoon post-op, but Saturday she was standing but still a little sleepy.

We are getting some donations for her surgery cost, which is great, but we just need to get a foster home for our girl!!!

Wish her luck!!!
